John Ellis ASDG:: Ellis 225:4251 I just purchased a 1/4 scale clipped wing Cub. The plane is almost built. I would like to find out more about the cipped wing Cub. How do they fly ? How much motor do I need ? John

Hi John, Who makes it. Is it an ARF or did someone partially build it. At a minimum, a 1.20 should be used. Depends on wing span/weight etc. BE ADVISED that although the cubs seem to float around and don't fly very fast, they are NOT trainers. You need to be very agile with your rudder thumb to stay out of trouble. Anyway, give me some more details, and I'll see if I can fill in the blanks. Steve

The plane is a Lions ARF it was part of a collection of planes I picked up. I have spent some time flying my Carl Goldburg with a 40FS not to hard to fly the engine is a little low on power. I recently picked up another Carl Goldburg with a 48FS I plan on flying that as soon as the weather gets alittle better. John

The OS 160 twin is a very nice engine for 1/4 scale Clipped Wing Cubs. Looks good, sounds good, and pulls it just about right. Bye --+-- Kay R. Fisher | ---------------O--------------- ################################################################################ |
