1546.0. "Sheet Metal Sources?" by LHOTSE::DAHL (Customers do not buy architectures) Fri Aug 06 1993 14:36

I'm looking for a source of solderable sheet metal, such as brass or copper, in
sizes larger than the 4"x10" sheets available from K&S. Does anyone know where
larger sheets, more like 12"x12" and up, can be obtained?

[I'm new to this conference, and couldn't find a topic to add this as a reply
to. The notes identified via the BUILDING_MATERIALS keyword all deal with nylon
screws.]

I would ask in the "Engineering in Miniature" conference. Those
are the guys who build metal things with Lathes and Milling machines.
It is located at SILK::ENG_IN_MINIATURE

Also - tell us what country and state you are in.

    I don't know where you live but look in the Yellow pages under Steel.
    One of those places usually sells other metal in sheet and would sell
    retail.

Thanks for the quick first replies! I live in the States, in Massachusetts, and
work in ZKO in Nashua NH.

I put a note in the Engineering in Miniature conference; thanks for the
reference Kay. I'll check the phone book for steel suppliers too.
