1439.0. "TRAXXAS TRX-1" by HLRG02::SYSTEM (DECmcc PABX AM development) Wed Jul 01 1992 14:34

    Hi,

My brother wants to buy a RC car.
    It is the TRAXXAS TRX-1.

Does anybody knows something about this car or does anybody have any
    experience with this car.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanks in regards.

    /-/ Henk.

I've got one. Its a decent car, but were I to do it again I'd probably get
one of the more well known entry-level cars. RC10, Raider, etc. The issue is not
quality, the Traxxas is pretty well put together and you get some features that
don't come standard on the others. The problem is that there aren't many
aftermarket parts available specific to the Traxxas. There are a wealth of
upgrades available for the others that let you upgrade your car as your desire
and budget increase.

FWIW,

Randy

I agree with reply .1 *if* the car we're referring to is Traxxas' old
"Bullet". I honestly can't remember the TRX-* numbering at the moment,
but I think the Bullet was the TRX-10 and their new car is the TRX-1.

I had a TRX-10 (Bullet) and agree with reply 1's sentiments. However,
their new car seems to be a thoroughly up-to-date platform, and
really isn't just an entry-level kit. It still doesn't have the
scope of aftermarket support that Associated or Losi has though, so
don't expect hobby shop shelves to be overflowing with accessories
    for it.

Depending on the individual, there may/may not be better choices for
a first car. At this time, you can easily get as much/more for your
    money from Associated or Losi.

    Hope this helps,

    Greg
