< 1/10th GAS but not really fast >
Hi my name is Mike and i have a 1/10 KYOSHO STINGER it's new
for 1987 it comes from the CIRCUT 1000 series rc cars, It's not
the fastest 1/10th car in the world but it's FOUR WHEEL DRIVE and
has FOUR WHEEL INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION. And you have to buy a gas
engine, like a .09, .10, or a .12 OZ OS motor that's what i have
and i highly recomend it. The .12 OZ motor is very fast and very
reliable, and starts very easy to .
To get to my point < 1/10th gas but not very fast >
The KYOSHO STINGER is not as fast as some beefed up electrics, but
it will win a race against stock 1/10th RC cars (electrics) But
when i climb a hill or go thru mud or even tall blade's of grass
nothing is dirtier or meaner than my 1/10th KYOSHO STINGER.

| HI is their any BIG BEAR fans out there! Last year i bought my
first RC and was the legendary monter of 1/10th trucks by MAURUI.
It's a replica of a moster truck like BIG FOOT, It has big 6 inch
rubber tires that will bounce over mud and dirt, And it has a 1982
Datsun stepside pickup body that i painted two tone red and marroon.
It also has front and rear independent suspendsion,It runs on your
average 7.2 volt rc batteries, and with its modified 480 RS motor
it goe's about any where.
For you sled puller's i resently bought another BIG BEAR but
this time i put a high torqe, high speed KYOSHO sp 260 motor, And
i'm running two 7.2 avenger pack batteries with a TAMIYA speed
controler and two resistor's. I some times run dual wheels on the
rear for hill climb's, I painted this one camouflage for the hunter's
mud puller.
<ON THE DRAWING BOARD AND ON THE TABLE>
I'm designing a prototype 6 WHEELER 1/4 scale BIG BEAR, he
will have six ballon tires and a fiberglass proto body. And this
monter will be powered buy a homelite xl122 chainsaw motor with
1 horsepower. The front wheel's are indepentent and the four wheel
in the rear will be straight axle, and will be driven by a 1/8 roller
chain,The clutch is modified from chain sprocket to a roller chain
sprocket, All rear wheels will have powerful drive, And this bear
will be very mean in about six inches of wet mushy mud.

| I recently bought an AYK radiant. This was a pleasant change
from my previous vehicle a Kyosho Gallop/Progress.
Out of the box the AYK needed some definite improvements. First
came an AYK 240WET motor. The speed that this motor added to the
vehicle amplified the already noticed suspension problems.
The suspension was quickly cured with heavier sping front and
back, and Associated shocks front and back. To give these new shocks
more travel, I rounded out the ends of the suspension arms for 180
degree movement up and down, and design new taller suspension towers.
I have also glued the stock servo saver (to much slack) and
added an aftermarket servosaver at the servo.
Finally toeing in the front tires for high speed stability
and tilting the rears in for better corner traction.
Off to the races, great car.
If anyone else has this car and has any helpful mods,I would like
to hear them.
So long for now, Charlie
PS Does anyone race indoor out there.....

Hi,
My name is Donald ST.Amour from the Enfield plant. I bought my
Big Bear around November of last year. It is painted blue like on
the cover of the box with the exception of all the trim and bumpers
which are painted black. I painted it like this because it matches
the color of my pickup.
You say that yours has 6 inch tires on it you must have added
these mine came with 4 inch tires. I have not done any modifications
to mine yet, it is basically just a running around the backyard
rig for now. One thing that I have to do is cut a little of the
front fenders off because the tires hit when I hit a bump.
The reason that I have not done anything to it yet is that I am
slowly modifing my 4wd Beagle. My plans for the Beagle are to replace
all the nylon parts with aircraft alum. parts, full bearings all
the way around and to replace the chain drive for the 4wd to a belt
drive that htey make for it. This car is identical to to kyoso Optima
so that all the Optima parts will work on the Beagle. Well that
is it for now keep me up to date on your progress with your Big
Bears.
Donald
