What do you say, Michael? Is >this true? Did your kit come? How does it look? I would like to say that I have flown one of these machines, but I cannot. I can say, however, that just today I flew my Pegasus full-scale glider (an AWS19 built buy the French) for the first time. I bought a quarter share of this a year ago, but could not fly it until I had a private rating. Flying this thing is real swell (at L/D of 40:1), but I still like models, perhaps more. I can think real hard about how to improve my Pegasus, but little will come of it. With models there is the quick gratification for creative thinking. As for the Falcon 880, I did order one of these gems completely built by Mark Allen with the Airtronics ATRACS radio installed. I should 'take deliver' sometime next week, and can give a report then. 1124.1 | need Falcon 880 instruction book | ABACUS::RYDER | perpetually the bewildered beginner | Sun Feb 23 1992 07:14 | 14 |
Well, I just bought Terry Sweeney's Falcon 880 kit. It would be good to get started before it joins my collection of unstarted/unbuilt kits. (I was able to buy it from Terry because it was part of his collection.) I had planned to buy a Legend with the Airtronics 50% off coupon I won at a contest last year, but, unlike Anker (see 1386.2), I prefer foam wings, and Terry FORCED this plane on me, just FORCED it! I need help. Terry has misplaced the instructions. He says they are not very detailed -- "build wing; build fuselage; build tail; put together." But I hope someone can copy their instructions and send them to me so I can see which wing to build first. Alton Ryder MKO1-2/K15 or Lamson Rd., Mont Vernon, NH 03057 | |||||
