967.0. "Ace Digipace Retrofit" by KYOA::GAROZZO () Tue Apr 18 1989 11:49

If you want to make a smart investment get the auto trickle
gadget that was just announced from ACE. I installed the
Digipace retrofit and it works just fine. It's a pleasure to get
a discharge, charge and trickle in one shot.

Bob - do you think it is possible (read that easy) to install the
retrofit kit into an L.R. Taylor cycler? Does ACE say?

All that English - and no American - didn't understand a word.

Guess this means I should buy the upgrade and bring it in for Charlie
to look at if I can't figure it out.

Gee separated only by a common language.

New information on the Ace/Trickel retrofit. The trickel is
a timer type, meaning that it does not sense a full charge then
goes to trickel. It always charges 14-16 hours then changes to trickel.
Got this info straight from ACE. They feel a healthy, fully charged
battery can withstand an additional 14-16 hours without damage.

Well, this approach certainly makes the circuitry easier. Anyone
care to enter a schematic ?? Should be a breeze to make. Perhaps
all of use Taylor owners should get together and produce a bunch of
    these things...

(keyword cycler and nicad_maintanance added to the base note...)
