463.0. "Moving the conference" by SSDEVO::EGGERS (Anybody can fly with an engine.) Tue Feb 11 1992 14:28

(Since topic 1 is write-locked, I'll put this note here. The moderator
can move it to a better place.)

If at all possible, please don't move the conference until AFTER the
    election!

If the new host system can give more links/better response, then
why not move ASAP? It should be possible to leave a one note "pointer"
file to the active conference here.

    Re: .-1

Yes, that's the normal procedure. I am concerned about the people
who are not facile with notes.

While I understand the concerns about leaving non-facile noters behind, it's
also the case that the combination of "can't get in" and "really slow response"
effectively prevents getting the information out to the entire noting
community.

Seems like an artful renaming along with Keypad-7 in a "we've moved" note
would take care of most folks IMO.

I'd really like to read more - the issues, though microcosmic, are vital for
those of us in that microcosm - but the response flat out throttles the info.

I'd vote for moving now if voting were being done.

Cheers,
Norm
