I have a NARCO EPIRB which came with the boat.The battery is still
good at this time since I have test it (during the first 5 min.of
the hour legal testing time)but I don't have any indication or
document to tell me the expiration date of the present battery,and
I would like to change it and keep track of the life of the battery
myself.EPIRB battery change has to be done by an authorized dealer
or the manufacturer as I understand it and I cannot locate either,
if they even exist.Can I have another service or another EPIRB
manufacturer change it and if yes, who ?

There is no listing for NARCO in the 1989 SAIL equipment and suppliers magazine nor I have seen any NARCO ads in years. You may be out of luck. ACR makes a nice little EPIRB available for under $200. | |||||

Thank's Alan,you confirmed what I didn't want to believe,that I may
have to buy a new one.Starting today if you see a man with his hand
extended at Boylston street station please be generous.All of you be
generous.I have to buy a new EPIRB,an autopilot a few fenders,line
handheld VHF and.........I just remembered how rich I was a year ago
before I got the boat.
