    Who is this Mike Barnicle and what pre-historical era did he come from?
    
    

Globe columnist.  Supposedly the great champion of the underdog, he 
periodically waxes wondrously creative in expressing his sentiments towards
females.

    He also tries to be a humorist on occasion on local (Boston) channel 5,
    the ABC affiliate in Beantown, on a show called Chronicle. I usually
    enjoy the show with it's interesting spots on local area (throughout
    New England) craftspeople and artisans and some history. However, I
    also usually turn it off when Barnacle's spots come on. He is crude and
    stupid, IMHO.
