Well, up here in the sticks, one bull services many cows and one ram services
many ewes, etc., etc.

disks -> slipped
services -> ser-vices -> Sir vices as in
" At the men's club they are known to engage in sir vices, gambling,
drinking, womanizing"
device(s) -> de-vices de vices as in
" The confessional is a good place to listen to de vices. "
OR, "We grip the data with de vices." ( Hmmm, data vice grips... say,
that gives me an idea for a new product! )

| disks -- I have to agree with slipped, also moby, compact (maybe
too late for this one), etc. Maybe also disc count,
disc qualify, disc credit, etc.
nodes -- I don't have enough literary knowledge, but surely
titles of the form "An ode to ''P1'" can be rendered
as "A node to ''P1'".

A common service found at many dry cleaning establishments is
One-Hour "Martinizing".
(I never inquired because I'm quite happy with my own name, and there
are already too many Martins.)
