1486.0. "math-oriented calculator" by PRSSOS::LECANNELLIER (K108 Twin Cities) Mon Aug 26 1991 11:53

    Hi,

    I want to buy an HP 48-SX (the higher stuff in the HP pocket
    calculators : matrix notation, statistical function, plotting ...)
    I believe that buying it in the US would be significantly cheaper
    than in Europe, but I don't know where to get it in the Nashua/Boston
    area. Lechmere in Pheasant Lane mall for instance don't sell it.
    Does anybody knows which good place could I go ?
    Thanks for your advice.

    Regards, Christophe

    Re .0:

    Service Merchandise carries the HP-48SX for a reasonable price (about
    $285, I think). There is a Service Merchandise in a plaza about a mile
    north of Pheasant Lane Mall -- across from McDonald's, in the same
    plaza with Toys "R" Us.

    Be careful that they give you an HP-48SX, not an HP-48S.

    You can find more discussion of HP calculators in the conference
    PINBOT::HP_CALCULATORS.

    The mentioned conference does not seem to be accessible to the general
    world.

    Re .3:

    It's plural:  PINBOT::HP_CALCULATORS.  I've attached the conference
    name to note .1 and this note, so you can just use SELECT to add it to
    your Notebook.
