| Helloooooooooo! Is anyone still listening?
I hope someone can fill in a word for me from the title song that I
simply cannot make out. Here goes:
They say I might as well face the truth
That I am just too long in the tooth
So I'm an O.A.B. in ___________
But I am not yet quite gone to seed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Janet

Just about, but this isn't the most active conference on the
net:-)
> So I'm an O.A.B. in ___________

I think it's OAP rather than OAB, but I can't place the
missing word either. So that's two of us singing it now.
~Ian.
P.S. Not "retreat" is it?

So I'm an O.A.P. in reprieve <------- I think this is the word!
But I am not yet quite gone to seed.

| I think I see what some of the difficulty is. O.A.B. used to be (still
is?) stamped on pensioner's checks her in the U.S. It means Old Age
Benefits. I imagine O.A.P. means Old Age Pension.
I suppose I could send a note to Eric Idle and ask him what the missing
word is........

is at least one site out there with the lyrics on.

241.39 | Did you know that there is a rock band with that name? | TOLKIN::JBROWN | The just shall live by faith. | Wed Jun 04 1997 18:35 | 8 |
| You would think so. I spent a bit of time looking on the Web yesterday
and the only lyrics I came across were from the BAND "One Foot in the
Grave". These memorable tunes include titles such as "Old Farts",
"Embalmer", "Menopause", "Cross-Dresser", "I Hate Your Guts", etc. You
get the idea.

| Re: Lyrics stuff
Nah. Can't find the lyrics ANYWHERE on the 'net. And I looked. Believe me!
As an aside, O.A.P. stands for Old Age Pensioner, here in the UK.
