I will be traveling to the AYR plant in two weeks. I will arrive in country on Monday 17 (after an overnite flight). I will be in the plant from Tuesday (March 18) thru Friday (March 21). I will be staying in Scotland over the weekend and thru next friday (March 28). I understand that the Preswick(sp?) airport is close to AYR. Are any EURO_FLYING/SCOTLAND/AYR noter's based/rent from Preswick? What would be the approx time for a good sightseeing flight around Scotland? Please advise the hourly approx cost of a 4 seat (c172) (with CFI) rental in US dollars? Ray | |||||

I can't give you any first hand information but the latest copy of
Pilot magazine lists most of the flying schools and their rates so it
should give you some idea of the costs. If they can't fly you
themselves, they probably know someone who can.

At �1 = $1.60 (approx), it is going to cost you $160/hour. Prestwick
has the most expensive flying schools in Scotland, the others (Edinburgh,
Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Fife & Wick) are cheaper by about
�10.
