for me, i thank for these:
health, being good at chess, getting 105/100 on my midterm project,
nice apt with good view, 3 weeks left to graduate , no car problems,
no debt, stocks are up !, no laundry to do this week.

Healthy children, Living in a country w/o war going on, co-workers
my car did'nt break down this week, friends, music, music,music
a clear mind (sometimes), and many more------

| Health, sanity, job, custody of my daughter, being able to read and
debate with others here in the notes file. Being able to get up in the
morning to go to work is probably one of the most amazing things today
in this day and age.
I guess I am also thankful for the group of men and women who I work
with here, and who gave and still give me support when I am doing
things right or slap my hand when I do it wrong. Gotta have it!:)
And!!! Most recent due to some tuff finance breaks, was able to buy
a new truck on some rotten credit due to a long divorce.

| 1. My wife and daughter and that we are all healthy.
2. That our two oldest, grown up and gone, have happy marriages and
healthy children.
3. Our home and all material blessings including our jobs to pay for
all those items.
4. My friends at work who help make it all bearable and the other
friends who have always been there in all situations.
5. The kindnesses shown myself and my brother and sister when growing
up poor with an alcoholic father.
6. Having had my uncle, Norman Dickey, as a father substitute when I
really needed one and just for having known him as a person. Probably
the greatest person I have known in my life.
7. Just having all my senses working and not being disabled in anyway.
8. That Santa is bringing me an $8 an hour raise just as soon as he
clears it with Mr. Palmer.

| Imagine putting out an APB on some woman driving around the country

and toss's it out the window!

As much as my writings may indicate otherwise, I _am_ very thankful
for all the blessings. For my family. A wife that has stood beside
me through some nasty times. Even encouraged and propped me up when I
was most down. Gave me faith in myself when that faith was wearing
pretty thin. Because being there with me she could see for herself
what was going on. Especially for the loan of my children and the
second...and third opportunities.
Even for the path that I have walked. Because if not for the path
that I walked, I would not be where I am.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose".
Romans 8:28.

i want to thank the author of note 194.96 for entering a most inspiring
note. i was very moved and touched on reading this particular note.
to me, visiting mennotes is often, revisiting places of great sadness and
pain. but it is also a place of sharing and healing, for finding comfort and
hope; for this i am thankful.
as a parent who was once shut out in the cold i know, that when faced with
what seems like the impossible, getting back to the children, it is easy
to give up, to give up hope and to give up some of ones own.
i am thankful for all of those who have made us strong, who haven't given
up hope and who live to tell the tale on how to overcome the impossible.
it can be done, it is never too late to build that _home_.
"keep on keepin' on" and dream that impossible dream.
our children are one precious gift "on loan" and as 194.96 concludes:
"God doesn't give us what we can't handle...."
peace, love and happiness and may our children grow to be beautiful and
strong,
