1036.0. "An Innocent Man" by BUSY::SLABOUNTY (Don't like my p_n? 1-800-328-7448) Wed Feb 21 1996 15:00

Tom Selleck, David Rasche, Ernie Hudson [I think], F. Murray
    	Abraham.

David and his partner raided Tom's house based on a tip from
an informant, but it turns out that they transcribed the ad-
dress wrongly and were in the wrong house. They shot him,
planted a gun and drugs on him and brought him up on charges
instead of admitting they made a mistake.

He goes to court, and his lawyer gives him a choice ... fight
it, and maybe lose and spend 6 years in prison, or plea-bargain
down to 6-12 months. He fought it and lost, of course, or it
wouldn't have been much of a movie.

So he goes to prison, and the expected "new guy in the joint"
    	story kicks in.

    	Very good movie, IMO.

This was a good movie. Selleck has the reputation of not being
the greatest in movies, but he did alright in this one.

One note: If you think the guy that he killed in prison was Ernie
Hudson then you were wrong. I am not sure what his name is
               but he isn't Hudson.

This is an old movie but it was one of Sellecks better ones

No, I meant the police captain/lieutenant/whatever looked like
    	Ernie Hudson.

My PC is down right now, or I'd go and grab a cast list out of
    	.msstate.edu.

Tom Selleck was excellent in this movie. I also liked his performance
in "Harley Davidson and the Malboro Man" (I believe this is the correct
movie title). Personally, I haven't yet been dissappointed with anything
    he's done.

    This is a good rental.

Tom Selleck wasn't in "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man". Those
guys were Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson, respectively. (Fun movie,
    though!)

If you're thinking Cowboy movies, maybe you're thinking "Quigley Down
Under", which was also a lot of fun. Of course, any movie with Alan
Rickman as the villian is fun by default. :)

Hmmm, sounds like something Rasche would have done back when he
was playing "Sledge Hammer" on TV.

Well Kim, I was sure it was Tom Selleck and Don Johnson... it's
been so long... I saw "An Innocent Man" in 1991 and that was on
    video tape too.

I must get one of those movie review books...
