DECLASER 2100 problem when working with MSword. After 75% of the page is completed the printer moves to the next page and prints the remaining 25% of text of the first page on the lower part of the next page. So the output is two pages with one part of the test on the top of the first page and the rest of the text on the bottom half of the next page. When I put the pages on top of each other the form the correct whole page. I have set the printer to A4 aswell and the document created is also set for A4, added the printer drivers and inserted the A4 paper tray. When printing from MS exchange the pages come out correctly. Test pages are OK. Any suggestions on what is going wrong here ? Regards - Cees van der Leeuw

Just a guess -- This sounds like a situation where the driver thinks it's about to generate too much data for your printer's memory so it splits the page. Or maybe it really did generate too much data and the printer split the page. I don't remember. Perhaps you could simplify your document (all one font; very few sizes; little or no graphics) and see if it works. Your mail that works probably is very simple from a typographic point of view. If that works -- Is there an option to add memory to your printer? If so, have you installed it? If so, have you configured the driver so it knows the option is there? [I'm just digging around very old memories here; if it doesn't apply in your case, please excuse this interruption...] -Mark |
