| Phew, what a co-incidence.
On the news programme in the UK this morning there was a piece on
this company....this is a very rare event.
Aparently the stock is being hit by rumours of support for the KKK.
They had one of the 3 owners on the radio who said......
The ship on the bottle is the official portrait of the one involved
in the Boston tea party - it is not a slave ship.
The K on the bottle is for Kosha - a symbol of the drink being pure
and good - the 3 founders are Jewish. It is not a representation of
the KKK.
They also had an American lady on who has looked into this type of
rumour - she said it usually hits companies that are at the high-price,
high quality end of whatever business they are in, like Marlboro.
However, the rumour is hitting sales and the stock price - so they said.

Donning my Oliver Stone cap for a minute....
...I wouldn't be surprised if one of the other Iced-tea makers was behind
this. They were all scared by the capture of market-share by Snapple in the
Iced-tea market in such a short-time. Snapple's CEO was interviewed by
CNBC and he acknowledged the moves made by its competitors; drastic
price cutting, increasing advertising budgets. Snapple thinks that it's
offering a superior product and is not about to lower prices anytime.
With that kind of thinking and a steady course, it'll be a big winner, still.

That's only 1/2 the rumor. The other 1/2 is that they are
also supporting pro-life organizations. Kind of hard to
believe a product that sponsered the Howard Stern show
would do that .....

| A stock with a PE of over 100 could see its stock price hit by more than rumor!

| Yesterday's close has Snapple at 21, which is a P/E of 210! It has been
as high as 29 7/8, though.

| I think Snapples most recent quarter indicated a forward annual
earnings of about $1.00. This gives a PE of 21, NOT 210.

I only know what I read. Today's Baltimore Sun business section quoted
Snapple at 23 3/4, with a p/e of 238. the stock is also shown to have
split recently, not that that should affect the ratio.
