| | So now that we have the Jerseys we can have a race team - right?
If Dec is going to allow the Jerseys to be made do you think they would
allow us to race with the Dec Jersey on? I mean if they are going to
allow the Jersey to be made and seen by all why not race with it? For-
get about the sponsorship money, it usually works for us mortals
that we have to pay to race anyway, there is no free ticket in this
    sport unless you are gifted.
I would be proud to race for Dec. Maybe we could have a special Dec
team. I could do some races with our special Dec team when I am on training
in Mass. Maybe we could meet at special events like Superweek, Tour of
    the Adirondacks, etc.

I'm not quite sure, but I don't recall that Tom D. had to get
permission to create the jersey. He merely copied the company logo
as closely as possible. Of course, they are being seen in public, so
they are under "scrutiny", as it were.

I would venture to say that anyone who feels like wearing a
Digital jersey in a race, should do so. The only problem would be
public relations. As in, no genital scratching while in front of the
    camera, etc.

| | I believe Tom did check with Corp. Legal (Tom, you out there). You
simply cannot replicate a tm'd logo for use without permission of the
    holder.

They are still in the works... My previous empty NOTE was due to my
being kicked out yesterday. Anyway, I have worn mine for the past two
years at the Mount Washington Race and training. I haven't been sued
yet... Actually, there are no rules/laws governing the wearing - being
DEC employees (and pre-permission having been given) don't sweat it.

I seriously doubt if your non-DEC spouse or SO was "caught" wearing
one that you'd be take any incoming.

The DEC Racing thing is a great idea. However, even at the most casual
level, it's a lot of work. I'll vote in any volunteer and participate!

FWIW, 2 years ago I showed up to the distrct time trial wearing a

The new USCF rules for this year have two club types; sponsored and unsponsered.
Riders attached to unsponsored clubs may not have any names on their jerseys.
Riders attached to sponsored clubs can have anything they want on their jersey.
It used to be that the USCF took a 65$65 fee plus 10% for each sponsor on the
jersey. Now they chare $65 for unsponsored clubs and $130 for sponsored clubs.

The jerseys are made by Schnaubelt (decent company). It will be blue

sleeve and zippered 1/3 (I don't personnally like this). I have one

skinsuits however.........
I have one from the original order and one from last year's, they are fine -
again I personally don't like them too tight so I would take XL for 100-104 cm.
My colleagues down here will probably tell you I'm the only person to wear a
wool vest under a jersey in the South of France!!
I wonder about the material, it's great for washing and it seems to 'wick out'
the sweat, but was I imagining that I got sunburnt through it??? Anyone else
had that experience or am I just halucinating?

The digital jersey "Classic" was made with a round
about "OK" from corporate. Make sure it was done
according to policy was the answer.
One of the policy rules to the logo, you can not
separate, devide, break apart, fold, bend or mutilate
it in any way. That is no seam or separation through
it. That is the reason for no zipper extending into
the logo area.
I'm glad someone else is doing this now.

that they don't have to be your basic black base, with printed side pannels.
re .23
I didn't see the ad, but I would guess it was Assos. They ran an ad in Bicycling
a couple of years ago that on one page showed the back of an attractive woman
looking over her shoulder saying "If I can't where my Assos..." When you turned
the page you saw the same woman wearing nothing but a helmet and shoes saying
"I'll where nothing at all." Bicycling got quiet a bit of response in the
letters section from that ad.

| | First thoughts were that I'd like matching colours, then I looked at the 3
jersies I have and realised they all have various degrees of fade (Blue is the
worst for this anyway). Maybe the bext is Henry Ford with a broad blue vertical
band and Digital logo.
I prefer not to have elastic on the legs, I find it constricting (no jokes about
short, fat, hairy legs , please) - it doesn't keep them up, more the opposite,
and if that's the problem I am old-fashioned enough to use braces. The only
other essential is a high back to them.
I must add that the finishing quality of the jersies is very high, most of the
European manufacturers are pretty poor at finishing seams etc. Well done,
Bonnie........

| | It's not really important I know. But in France at least one is not
allowed to comete in anything other than black shorts, the only
allowance being for club name or sponsor (at which point there's a kick
    back for federation).

Of course if one is competeing one should only be wearing club
jersey's and shorts, or if clubless (like myself right now), in plain
    jersey and shorts.

Having said all that if a lot of shorts were made I'd buy one. Don't
really care about the type (based on Chip's comment about not wanting
n-million types). I'll trust the esteemed bodies who might organise
this to make sensible decisions. If they are useless on the bike
