| Well, if the weather is nice (insert other wimpy qualifiers
here), I'll do Harvard to the Mill, passing the BXx sites on the
way in (about 13 miles). This involves going over Pinnical Road,
quite a climb for a recumbent. Going home, I take the flat route
passing the LTN and LJO and Taylor St (what do they call that?)
sites (about 16 miles). Since I'm part time, these will occur
during the mid-morning and mid-afternoon, low traffic periods.

LKG has bike racks on the front 'patio' in clear view of the main security
desk. I've left one of my bikes there once this year, with no problems.

| I didn't ride in yesterday either, BUT I have been commuting in off and on
for the last three years. This year I was even riding in in the winter. No
snow, No problem! I try to ride in three times a week, but weather doesn't
always cooperate I have a two door storage cabinet in my office that I removed
all the shelves out of and made it into a closet. I bring my about three
changes of clothes in when I take my car, along with clean towels and take the
dirty stuff home that day. I hate to carry stuff on my bike. I also bring my
bike into my cube.
I did ride in today, 13.8 miles @ 39.35, 19.8 adv.spd. Worcester-MRO2, OVER
Shrewsbury Ctr. Fastest time was 38.55, 20.5. Thats with stopping for lights
and traffic.
For those that yesterday was the first time, keep it up. It makes going to work
alot more fun.

Phil,
Though the front door... Just tell them its your wheelchair ;-)
Actually, the receptionist in MRO2 is not as strick as others. Plus I
didn't ask anyone, I just went and did it. When I get confronted, I usually
ignore them or ask to see it in writing, all the while I keep walking hoping to
get out of range. Unless they want to make an issue out of it they usually drop
it and never bother me again. Don't argue, don't try to prove your point, a
quick sharp WHO SAYS or SHOW ME THE POLICY and keep walking.

bike commuting to work. (1/2 of the article is a picture.) It says
that May 15th is National Bike-to-Work Day. The first article states
that it may be faster for short distances (< 6 miles); The rest of the

though they live close enough to do so, and methods of making it more
