I get European cover included with my RAC membership. It's called
"REFLEX Europe".

approx 10 times a year on business for the last 4 years. Much cheaper
than flying ..........

---------------------------------- Foreign Travel Cover
Unless included in the Manufacturer's warranty, you are required
to purchase some form of Foreign Travel Insurance to cover you
during your trip.
If you do not take Breakdown cover, any recovery costs will be
charged to your cost centre and, in turn, may be charged to you
personally.
Repatriation of vehicles from abroad is expensive and often costs
over 1000.
We have arrangements with National Breakdown in the UK and, for a
charge, they are willing to extend this coverage to the Continent.
All Digital staff can obtain a 10% discount.
Should you require details, call National Breakdown on (0532)
393666; our membership number is 10/51939. You should ask for the
European Department.

Thanks Martin for bringing this to our attention. It appears to be
something that quite a few people have overlooked.

I do not understand why I should pay this if using the company car on
company business on the continent, as I often do.
I'll check to see whether it applies to business use, or whether you
reclaim via your cc.

| I've only taken a car abroad on business once and I reclaimed the extra cover as
an expense but I was in *my* car not a lease car.

I took my leasemobile to France recently and my cost centre paid the
European cover - from RAC in my case.

| National Breakdown will give free European cover as part of their UK
offering. It could be cheaper than short-term policies. I don't see why
this shouldn't be a legitimate expense, it depends whether your CC
manager wants to insure against the risk of motor repatriation.

This issue has raised it's head again.
Has anyone called Leaseplan and got the full spec yet? I called this
morning and was told that as part of the LPassist breakdown cover
mainland Europe cover is also included.
Someone else was recommended to take out the 22 quid option (which I
wasn't told about, but when I asked no-one knew anything about) which
provides 'more'/'adequate' cover.
Confused.
Chris.
