    Last saturday, near Ferney, I spotted something that looked familiar
    while being unusual. Getting closer I thought it was something with
    bits of a Ford Escort and of a Nissan Primera with a mini-Safrane look.
    
    Getting even closer I read:
    
    			Renault 		Laguna
    
    The car was registered in Paris. I had just read about the official
    announcement with some photos and I thought the car was to start
    selling in January.
    
    Finally, the car was pre-announced by Renault last summer, as the
    Maurane (or Morane or Mauranne ...). Why did they change to Laguna ?

	Well, watching TV last night : they (Renault) have effectively (re)launched the car as the LAGUNA, sales starting immediately, deliveries in January. No mention as to why they had to change from Maurane, which was the officially announced christian name a few months ago in the press.

	.4� Anyone know if there will be a NEW 21 Turbo.....??? For the time being, the high end model is powered by the 3l PRV V6 that produces a peak power of 170bhp and a peak torque of 245Nm at something like 4500rpm ! This car weighs 1370kg without extra ! It does 0-1000m in just under 30sec. The road holding is reported as good. The 21 turbo lovers will be disappointed.
