|  |     .0    P1800E 1970 Volvo Sedan

    .0 Is this a 'classic' car? Will it ever be? Any ideas what it is
    .0 currently worth? Any info, would be much appreciated.

    It is a classic. Very famous from the 'Saint' series appearance. Few
    built and very few still in existence today. Market value: 3-7K pounds.

| | Definitely a classic although perhaps a bit of an acquired taste (I
    like them).

    A friend went to look at a good one about six months ago didn't buy it
    because he was concerned about availability of parts.
    I believe it was about 4500.

    Jason.

|  |     ..I have the 1800S model.

    The 1800E is very desirable due to the fuel injection.

    UK price in Practical Classics is around 3500 - 4500

    Price in Switzerland is around Sfr 20'000

| 1915.6 | So it's nice, but how nice? | HLFS00::STEVE_T |  | Thu Oct 15 1992 11:33 | 8 |
| | Thanks a lot for all the information, and it certainly sounds like it
    would be worth bringing it over to Europe to use for a while, and then
    to sell before returning to the US. I just need to find out now how
    much it would be to ship it over........any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Steve

| | I seem to recall a Top Gear program that had a feature on this and
    while I can't recall any prices, they did say that many s/h cars were
    shipped from Florida -> UK.
    	Got any contacts there?

| 1915.8 | good looking but ... | ZPOVC::GGLOH | Singapore | Thu Oct 22 1992 18:16 | 3 |
| | The car was driven by THE SAINT.

    It may be a good looking car, but it is also a 'rust box'.

|  |     Where do they rust ?

    Mine's 1966 and has only had one re-paint, in about 1986. No rust.

    The only areas I know to look out for are rear wing arches and in
    behind the front lights.
