Those things are all over the place in Europe, but nowadays it seems
most have gone the way of the Capri, body kits abound ....
I hear a Renault A310 could be a better bet.
Warrayawunt LHD for anyway, coming over here?

| Bill, do you have access to French car magazines ? There are always a
few Murenas for sale. As expressed already you must be very careful
with the cars on the market, although there are some very fine examples
on the road.
Cheers, Patrick

Perhaps if you come across one you could get in touch?
Thanks in advance.

1297.5 | Get a Dutch newspaper | HOO78C::DUINHOVEN | Weird scenes inside the colemine... | Tue Nov 20 1990 14:39 | 8 |
| I'd advise you, to have all weekend editions of the Dutch newspaper
"De Telegraaf"
Every saterday about 6 Murena's for sale.
They are not cheep though: 15 - 20 K Guilders.
Watch it: The body is not like Bagheera plastic, but sheet metal.

Hans,
Are you sure the bodies are steel?
A friend of mine here had one until recently, and it was made of
G.R.P. like the Bagheera.
That was an early Murena with the 1600 engine which he imported
from Holland.

1297.7 | I'll check it | HOO78C::DUINHOVEN | Weird scenes inside the colemine... | Wed Nov 21 1990 17:30 | 12 |
| I think at least later models are steel made.
The plastics ones were to costy.
I'll try to get info on this.
A friend is a car body repairer/painter, who worked for the
Peugeot/Talbot garage overhere.
If you need a 2.2 engine, the Talbot Tagora is equipped with it.
Those ugly & badly sold creatures are sometimes for sale at low
ratings.

1297.8 | Yes they are plastic | HOO78C::DUINHOVEN | Weird scenes inside the colemine... | Thu Nov 22 1990 15:15 | 16 |
| Bill,
It seems I've been wrong with the steel body: they all are plastics.
Some warnings from my friend:
- At the days when it was still produced, even then it hardly was
possible to obtain spares fro the body and other unique parts.
The garage mgr. my friend worked for, went to the factory near Paris
to get the spares, instead of waiting for 3 months or more!
- Beware of the rust animal: thoroughly check the frame!
- The pop-up lamps are prone for "not_popping_up"
Good luck with the search!
