    Does anybody know what's happening with the franchise's in Reading, I
    hear the Toyota Dealer down the Basingstoke Road has lost that the 
    Toyota franchise and John Filbee (sp) the Honada dealer is switching 
    franchise's. There is even a rumour that Great Western Motors may lose 
    the Vauxhall franchise. Reading seems to be going through a shake up.
    
    
    Anybody out there know anything ???

	I spoke to one of the Sales people recently, last week. He said they have bought the houses next to the garage, back towards Reading. Thge Houses and old showroom/workshop will be pulled down. A new larger showroom/workshop will be built , plus a special LEXUS Showroom.

	Aren't Toyota owned by Penta? As are/were Rover - Penta themselves/Peugeot Christchurch Road/Vauxhall Great Western Motors/Saab & Jaguar -Julians? Nice little earner...

	Just locked into this note..the answer is..watch the property development space. Word has it Penta, who own(ed) all the aforementioned are rightsizing. Julians has gone, penta itself is on the way out, Gurrt Western are to be pulled down. The one that makes me really laugh is Vincents old BM place is now a Lada franchise !
