| I would love to take part in one when you get it organised. I've also
run a couple over the years - give me a call on 3670 (DECpark) if you
want to chat about it.

| Well I'm sure that you will be pleased with the following news.
The Sports and Social Club are going to arrange a treasure hunt for the late
spring, and guess who's been delegated the job of organising it?
That's right me, so if anybody would like to give me some help I would
appreciate it!
Cheers,

| Insurance is normally NOT a problem, as long as there is no racing
involved....
What I have done in the past is to record all the cars mileages,
at the start and end, and one way of defining a 'winner' is to see
who has driven the fewest miles.... It also gives a good laugh vs
the person who has driven over 100, when everyone else has only done
20!!

I believe there is a legal limit of 12 cars for this sort of
thing, otherwise it can qualify as a rally. This might have changed
when the road rally regs changed a couple of years back.

Well, a while ago (16 months or so) we had one here in Ferney, (
Switzerland actually) involving over a dozen cars.
It lasted 6-7 (or 8) hours, and was a S*D. The first person to reach the
first checkpoint was over an hour after the marshalls estimate....
The clues were cryptic to say the least, and the winner was the
team who had the most questions right, and also were closest to
the marshalls optimum distance. Very well thought out and organised.
More details on request.
