Perhaps this topic would suit for further replies ?

Try 'phoning the IAM, they've been helpful in the
 past. Tel. 01-994-4403 (24 hours).
I know that Brands Hatch used to advertise Skid Pan training,
you would have to search further for their number.
I also know that Pentti Airikkala holds driver training course
in conjunction with Lancia (using Thema turbos and integrale 16v
cars with two steering wheels and two sets of pedals).
I have been on a 'Rally Driving Course' held by him, using these
same vehicles and found him a good instructor.
Recently there was an 'extra' with Performance Car or Fast Lane,
which listed (and went on) a number of these courses. I do not
think I still have that, but maybe some other noter has...

| Can you supply the details for the Pentti Airikkala courses please.
Unfortunately, the 'Rally Driving' course was a special that he
put on two years ago, after his Lancia drive on the RAC.
The subsequent year, he won the event in a Mitsubishi.
(This year, he has crashed out in a Ford - luckily, no injuries)
I will have a look through mags etc. tonight, to see if I can
find details of the 'road driving' course, which I think went
under the name 'Advanced Driving Programme'.
I was also given his home number, but have not had the front
to use it - if *really* necessary, I could perhaps ring for details ?
(name dropping, name dropping, what a bore!)
In that magazine 'extra' I mentioned, I remember that it also
included some course run by John Lyons, don't remember the others.

| My insurance company - privilege - have offered me 10% off my insurance if I
take a BSM masterdrive Course - 2 hour session with a (sort of) exam/test at
the end.
The course costs about 40-50 quid and will give me an 80 quid discount.
Has anyone any experience of this course and is it any good ?
Obviously it will only be a very basic course, bearing in mind the limited
time available.
Any comments would be useful.
Regards,
Craig.
