165.0. "DERMS Trouble..." by 21272::ARRONQUE () Fri Mar 07 1997 15:45

    	Hello All,

I have a question for someone...
    	We are installing a network with DERMS-FA, H3108-RA, DEHUA-CA.
DETMM-MA, but when I connect the UTP cables on DETMM-MA, the cover of
    DERMS-FA smash the cables.
There a extend for the cover??? or I wrong in this configuration??

    	Thanks in advance

165.1Regarding your questions about the use of the cover along with the H3108-RANETCAD::WAINIOMon Mar 10 1997 09:3119
Marco,

The cover is designed to be used to cover the DEChub 900.
If it is used with the H3108-RA there may not be enough clearence
to allow the installation of the cover. This seems to be the situation
the your are experiencing. We are putting a note in our new
OPEN DECconnect applications guide indicating that the cover
is designed for use with the DEChub 900 and the DEChub 90 products.
There is a product the is designed for the installation of
individual 900 modules, it is the H3108-RB. It is a lower profile
and could be covered.

Our mechanical engineering group is looking into this and we will confirm
that this option can be used in this configuration. If you need to
cover the products you will have a solutoin that could be used.

Marco,

We have checked the use of the cover using the H3107-RA & RB and found
that there is not enough room under the cover to allow this configuration.
We don,t recommend using the cover except to cover the DEChub 90 or 900.

I'm sorry if this causes you any difficulty.
