| Some updated information after our trip to the Cape this weekend.
Beautiful beach in Chatham called Hardings Beach. Could walk forever
in low tide and even walk pretty far out in High Tide. Undertow can be
dangerous toward the point. This is off Shore Road in Chatham, off of
Rte 28 among the really nice homes and next to the lighthouse.
Cold Storage Beach in Brewster, off of Rte 137, I believe. In back of
the National History Museum just before the Dennis line. Beautiful
trails lead to a nice beach but beware, high tides flood the walkway.
Parking is free across from the museum.
We enjoyed Race Point at the end of Rte 6 in Provincetown. This was
probably the most beautiful beach we encountered. Well worth the
drive.
Eastham has the national seashore which as someone pointed out, is
lovely but they didn't have two of their beaches open and didn't allow
dogs off-season so we only got to look. Sure looked nice.
What to miss:
Cockle Cove beach. Kinda dirty, water and sand too. This is located
in Chatham.
FWIW,
