483.0. "INSTALL LPS20 OVER NT 4.0 USING TCP/IP" by IB004::DIEGOR (DRODRIGUEZ Tengo un puro) Tue Apr 08 1997 03:29

    Hi,
My problem is how to install a LPS20 printer in a WINDOWS NT 4.0
    machine, using
    TCP/IP.

I have defined all the parameters of the LPS20 driver that comes with
    the NT 4.0
CD(printer name, MAC address and the network details, such as the IP
    subnet mask
and the TCP/IP address) enabling the Soft-Loading and configuration and
installing the printserver files, at last.
However, the LPS20 can't boot and it only shows the MAC address and the
    ?54
    after the timeout expires.

    So, I wonder why...?

It could be the firmware of the LPS20 controller? Which I need?
Could I need another communication protocol?
            Could I need other software?
Could I need something which lets me connect the first time to
    define to
the LPS20 how to load the software for booting?

    Thanks for all,
                                                    Sergi
