477.0. "Can RP200/RP400 used with LG01,LG12 and LP27 ?" by ZPOVC::HINSIONGTAN () Wed Feb 26 1997 07:02

Hi, could anyone tell me if the following system printers
able to use with RapidPrint 200 and RapidPrint 500, to provide
printing via LAT from VAX host and via TCP/IP from Windows NT system
    concurrently.

    a) LG12

    b) LG01

    c) LP27

Presently, these printers are served by VAX host via LAT. Do I
need special cables for connection to RP200 and RP400 ?

    Thanks.

Try humane::postscript_printing, they would most likely be able to
    help.

    HI,

From the SOC may1996, yes the Rapid Print 200 supports multiple,
concurrent network protocols including Novell, Apple, LAT, and
    TCP/IP.

We have customers using LP27s on RP200. The only thing to take care
is that the RP200 should be running at firmware ver 1.1.8 for these
printers to work properly. We can still use the same parallel cables
(BC27A-xx). There is a config set up in the box and we need to setup
as to what type of printer it is talking to, such as dataproducts,
    centronics etc.

    Hope this helps
