475.0. "LPS32 HARDWARE ERROR 33" by IB004::DIEGOR (DRODRIGUEZ Tengo un puro) Tue Feb 18 1997 05:35

    Hi

    	I have an LPS32 with HARDWARE ERROR 33.

        If I reboot LPS it prints ok 4 or 5 sheet, but the error appears
    once again.

    	I couldn't find that error anywhere (manual, internet, stars)

    	Any ideia will be appreciated

    	Thanks in advance

475.1Is this the right fuser 110/220?CSCMA::SMITHTue Feb 18 1997 16:0615
    This error is "excessive fuser current". It should be on page 6-7,
    of the service guide, about halfway down. It points you to section
    7.15 (page 7-12) for more info. The recommendations there are what
    I would look at as well, Low voltage power supply, print engine drive,
    fuser, then mother board (not likely).

    One more thing comes to mind though, did someone change the fuser or low
    voltage power supply just before this error?
    If so, make sure the correct one was gotten from stock (110v or 220),
    there have been some mix ups, (even with the wrong fuser in the right
    box) and it causes similar type errors.
    The 110v fuser is 29-29637-01, it the generally the one used in the
    US. The 220v fuser is 29-29638-01.

475.3Another suggestionCSCMA::KOECKThu Feb 20 1997 08:327
    Another thing that you might want to check is cn 115 on the mother
    board. This connector has given us several problems with error codes
    as all the sensors on the left half ov the machine go through it. I
    would suggest reseting the connector, then take a tool like a jeweler's
    screw driver and make certain that each pin is seated.

    		Hi,

    		ERROR HARDWARE 33 continued:

                 - FUSING UNIT is for 220V.

    		 - ENGINE DRIVE BOARD, MOTHERBOARD ,CONTROLLER and
    		   LOW VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY are replaced.

    		 - Verify CN115 and CN111

    	    This error is very intermitent, printer work fine 3 days or
    fails every 4 sheets.

    	    Any idea will be apreciatted.

475.5intermittent error code 33CSCMA::PRUNIERMon Mar 31 1997 12:207
    I had a call from an engineer about a month ago with the same problem
    and he said the cause of the problem was a bad ground connection on the
    separation/transfer guide assemble. Check the three little fingers on
    the separation/transfer guide that grounds to the registration roller
    assembly and make sure they are seating properly. You should also check
    the two ground fingers on the separation/transfer receptacle and make sure
    they are grounding properly to the rear of the drawer aseembly. Good luck
