| I heard (at the coffee station) that one of the reasons people
feel so crappy after surgery is caffein withdrawal... and that
they now include a little caffein in the post surgical drip...
or maybe this is an urban rumor...

That wasn't the reason I was feelin' crappy after my
angioplasty....it was the nitroglycerin they were dripping
into my I.V. to keep the blood vessels wide open. Every couple
of minutes that dang machine would make that tell-tale sound
that in just a few seconds my head was going feel like an intense
migrain......aaaaaarrrrggghhh......I thought at one time they were
going to take me off that stuff but they were just replacing the
empty bag with a FULL one!!! Just a tease I guess.....

butt outta that shower - often i fall back on an old

Allenhead! Haven't heard from you in a while...but you do tend
to come and go ;-)...is this surgery recent? Sounds like you've

yeah, but have you been in extraordinary situations because of your
addiction? do you go into withdrawal (npi)?.
Steve Garvey claimed he was addicted, which resulted in some of his
many problems in LA... One might make a claim that WiltC was/is
addicted (50,000 women?). Or Bill Wyman... but they are probably
just compulsive, and it was just available...
inquiring minds wanna know...

To all concerned,
I'm doing well at this point in time...just gotta modify my
lifestyle a bit...it's kinda weird though. Now I've got something
(a stent or stint) in me that's man-made and I wasn't born with
and it seems kinda alien...you know what I mean??? I also look at
life differently....I never really knew how fragile it really is
and how fortunate I am to be a part of it.
And now, back to addictions....CATS!!! You could say I'm
hopelessly infatuated by them...I've got two and find myself
wanting more. Any time I see a kitten or a "free to a good home"
or just seeing another one anywhere, I just wanna ......;^)

Addictions - plenty - 5-6 cups of coffee to start the day. I enjoy at
least my share of beverages, butts, etc... Luckily, my body is
resilient.
I am giving up mowing my lawn for lent ;^)

| I have been cutting down of caffine lately, no coffee after 5:00pm,
(except weekends), no coffee until I get to work (that hurts).
So far so good, except that spaced no coffee feeling when going
into work.
