I'm busy on Sept. 29, so I can't make that weekend.
And I missed the last DEChead camping trip, so I wanna make it to this one.

    somewhere from the west coast? I'd like to make it to
    this camping trip....would I be able to invite a friend

seeing how we missed a chance to hang out with fellow DECheads at
clifford ball, i'd definitely be up for the camping trip ... how about
"first weekend in october" ?  ( oct 4 - 6 )

might be a bit crowded, with the foliage seekers, but they have "first
come, first serve" sights along kancamagus and in the lafayette campground
in franconia notch ... are these too far for most folks ?  where is a good
area for most of us to meet ?

Oct 5 we'll be on vacation, but we will be in VT vacationing so
driving to NH is NBD.

Oct 19 the crowds will have subsided.  i know a _very_ kind place
to camp, but difficult to find.  it is about 6 miles into the WMNF
south of the Baldfaces along a very drivable dirt road. there's a
good-sized area where we could rage all night and never bother
anyone.
