| Well, I'm back from Houston...and very glad to be out of there.
So far, I've gotten tapes to JC, Chuck Ouimette, Mike Bourdess, and Chris
Fields.
I think that I have blanks at home for the rest of the branches and should be
able to complete these copies by early next week.

| iu'm considering making another best of jerry tape but this time w/ a
diff theme. the dead went thru a handful of distinct periods, and i'd
like to reflect that in a tape. and, what is a huge hole in the current
tape (IMO) is the lack of stuff jerry did outside the dead, such as JGB,
grisman, etc. not sure if i'm going to include a lot of non-dead stuff,
perhaps that is good fodder for V3 or something.
dead periods, imo:
'66-'67 young days
'68-'71 developed, turning into a cult, acid days
'72-'74 loss of pigpen and the blues/r&b influence
'75-'82 post hiatus and those killer '77 shows
'83-'86 brent days
'87-'91 brent feeling comfortable
'91-date vinny,bruce,etc
