507.0. "sugarbush dechead pahty/ski trip in march?" by ZENDIA::FERGUSON (Control for smilers cant be bought) Tue Jan 09 1996 21:18

i'm wondering what the interest would be in renting a place
at sugarbush for the first weekend in march to ski and pahty.

i'm thinking a 3-night rental: thur-fri.
ski fri,sat,sun.
party: thur,fri,sat,sun.

reply if you are game.
if you have not been to sugarbush, it is worth checking out.
less crowds than southern NY, er, i mean southern VT.
plus, lots of good bahs to have a few libations after a
strenuous day ont he slopes. and... mad river glen is a short
drive from the 'bush.

I'd like to go also, if I may. Although I do believe I'd rather
snowboard, if it's available. Does anyone know?

507.4Sugarbush or SugarloafDELNI::DSMITHAnswers aplenty in the by & byThu Feb 08 1996 10:038

I found a place right at the base of the lifts at S'bush South for $450
a week. I'm looking at late season spring skiing. Possibly late
March/early April. The prices drop, the snow is soft, the bumps are
huge, the air is warm and nobody's there.

I'll also contact Scott Wentzell and ask about the lodging situation
    at Sugarloaf.

Just got off the phone with Scott Wentzell.

He's going to help find a condo at Sugarloaf for the week before and
for the weekend of Raggae Weekend which, I believe is the 2nd week of
    April.

    So far I have:
    Deane - all week/weekend
    Leblanc - all week/weekend
    Leblanc's Dad - all week/weekend
    JC	- few days

We need a 4th person for our Sugarloaf condo or we'll have to downgrade
    to a 1 bedroom w/loft.

Currently, for the weekdays of April 7th-12th, I can get a package deal for
$300 per person. This includes 5 days of lift tickets and 5 nights
lodging in a large 2 bedroom condo. It's a 30 second walk to the Snubber
lift and a 5 minute walk to the mountain villiage/base area.

Raggae weekend starts on that Friday, the 12th, and I'm going to try to
arrange to keep the condo for that weekend. No package deals will be
available for the weekend. Last year the place was out of control, many
quality Raggae bands played (I-tones were the best). The mountain was
loaded with trailside keg parties and rastafari.
