For those of you who like to drink red wine OR just want a bottle
to show off, there's a new (to me anyway) Pinot Noir from Oregon.
Friends brought it to a dinner party we had Saturday night. It's
from Williamette Valley Appellation, cellered and bottled by
Redhawk Vineyard, Salem, Oregon. And of course the name is:
GRATEFUL RED...
I bet you were all wondering how this fit in with the scheme of
things around here!!!
Marc
P.S. If you can't find it near you the phone # for the vineyard listed
on the bottle is (503)362-1596. Maybe they can tell you where to get
it in your neighborhood.

Tom Robinson opened Redhawk on July 4, 1992. I toured his winery last year when I was stumbling around Oregon trying to find something to do while the Eugene shows weren't happening. | |||||

They stole that name from my red beer of a couple o years ago!

Yeah, a friend of mine from Minnisota send me a bottle of
grateful red - I gotta say it wasn't too bad!
The label could have been a little more imaginitive though...
I mean if you're gonna market a name like that, why not
give a promo boost with some color?!?!?

Yeah, I agree that the label's pretty lame. I guess they figure
they wouldn't get taken seriously if they have a really freaky label.
Good Pinot Noir nonetheless...
