Here is an easy one (since there are only 6 of them and I have 5 on tape...)

My favorite Walking The Dog is from Philly ... 85 I think. The tape my Dad
gave me when he heard I was collecting that song. :-) Thanks again Jum!!

I think my favorite GTRFB is 11-4-74 (?) Harding Theater SF, followed closely
by 9-19-91 MSG which had me dancin' in the seat Sat night after dropping DC
off and trying to keep awake :-/

The absolute best Scarlet>Fire was 5-13-77 and anyone who sez different
is . . . entitled to their own severely misguided opinion. :^) Wish I
had a better copy; it's odd that it isn't very well circulated since
it was broadcast on the radio.

Best Looks like Rain, must be Sunday night Boston Garden '91.
Bob hit those notes like it was 1970. It moved me to tears and helped
me reconcile a past relationship. A song I will never forget.

Best Samson & Delilah also the same night, first song second set. the
floor became this big colourful oriental rug rolling back and forth
like a human wave machine. I'm a very visual person.

Best Eyes, many dates, I prefer the older fast funkadelic jazzy
versions than the newer ones, though Branford does add alot.

Aside from the fact that Cornell is probably too small for them
to play these days (sigh....) I think I've heard from someplace
that the last time they played there Jerry said something like
"Not this fucking place again!" This was supposedly in regards
to the acoutics or other architectural disadvantages of the
hall (Barton I believe). But this could also be one of those
    confabulated memories ;-)

    re: cornell

Barton Hall certainly does not have very good acoustics. It was
originally build as an aircraft hangar, not for concerts. Now it's
used for lots of things - it's kind of odd that I've taken final exams
in the same place that a Dead show has occurred. I think that the last
time the Dead played Cornell was '81, and I kind of doubt that it will
ever happen again (due to both what the Dead and what the Cornell
administration would want). I hope that Cornell someday books Phish
for Springfest. I must echo the sentiment that the 5-8-77
Scarlet->Fire at Barton Hall is quite incredible. Never heard the 5-13
    version.

Ah, yes. An incredible memory. Red Rocks '87. Last night of
the run. Looking down at the band. Looking out over the rocks
behind the stage to the lights of Denver in the distance.
Looking up at all the stars. The tunes rolling over us.
Watching the full moon rise while the song played...

One of the most cosmic moments in my life... I get big doses

I love that when it happens!!! Always good to make a box or two for folks
every now and then to dust off some of those tapes that don't get played
