I'm not sure if they're using stuff from Silicon Graphics yet, but I
understand that some people at SGI are doing stuff for the guys.

| I don't know who does the video graphics or what equipment is used but
I know it's stored on laser disk. It's pretty much the same stuff as
1990. I just found out that the slide projections added this year are
the work of photographer Bill Smythe.

I like the effect where Jerry turns into a large
singing mushroom! I can never figure out how they
do that one. ;-)

'Estimated'. don't worry 'bout me, no.

well.

sorta! RFK Stadium is built with alot of play in the
construction, the whole grandstand section of the
stadium bounces and wiggles when everybody dances,
it makes for funny watching material!!! although
it is kinda scary sometimes (like the climax during
Music Never Stopped!).

| RE: bouncing stands
I noticed that at the Boston Garden (I'm sure lotsa folks did), at least 6
inches of bounce to the balcony! It was cool the nights I was up there to stop
for a moment and just stand there and be moving up and down, reminded me of
being on a boat...

try standing in the first row balconey (high above the phil zone) in the
boston garden, and in the middle of a really rockin' song, stop dancing and
stand perfectly still; it's incredible how much you can feel the place movin'
it's been way too long since a dead show and since a phish show...

Anyone ever catch that special effect where some kind of ripple
emits out from the stage and you can see it working it's way out
to you and it shakes and rattles you around a little, and quite
often one must sit down afterwards?????

yeah! I know that ripple! Once, in Albany '92 (?) it happened during
Estimated, i think. Later in that song, Bobby's face and upper
body sort of elongated out over the crowd about 20 rows...quite
special as a matter of fact. We were on the first riser tier on the
Jerry side about 2 rows in.

In Syracuse somewhere around '84 there was a very large (10-14 ft tall)
cloaked figure with arms encircling Mickey's drum set (The Beast)
during Estimated.
Somehow I had found myself directly across from the stage in the balcony above
the floor... Thought I saw the Devil, but it could've been any ol' spirit..
them voices tol' me so...

Remember during the summer tour of 90', when they brought out
"Mr. Bones"....that huge skeleton, glad they didn't keep using
that stupid thing, I think even the band was distracted when
they pulled it out.
I think "Mr. Bones" is now at the "Psychedelic Shop", in S.F.
