DIGITAL awarded five waivers for Boston Marathon runners

On Patriot's Day, April 21, the Boston Marathon will be run for
101st time. And for the second year in a row, DIGITAL has been named
the official Information Technology Sponsor for the Boston Athletic
Association (BAA) and the Boston Marathon. In partnership with
Microsoft, DIGITAL is delivering the BAA web site
(http://www.bostonmarathon.org).
As a Massachusetts-based company, DIGITAL is proud of its role in
helping the BAA stage the world's oldest and most prestigious marathon.
As a sponsor, DIGITAL has been awarded five waivers that allow our
employees to participate in the Marathon. If you are a regular runner
and are running long runs of 12 miles or more and would like to train
for and run the Boston Marathon, you are invited to join our lottery for
one of the five waivers.
We also recognize that running a marathon is a major accomplishment.
If you or a close member of your family are running in the Marathon, or
if you are a Boston Marathon volunteer, please let us know by completing
the information at the end of this message. We would like to celebrate
your accomplishment or contribution and plan to acknowledge it later this
year.
To enter the lottery for the five waivers, please see the message
at the end of this document. All entries must be received by Friday,
Feb. 14. A drawing will be held Friday, Feb. 21 with winners being
notified by Monday, Feb. 24.
Waiver lottery
The lottery for the five waivers will be managed by the DIGITAL
Running Club. To enter the lottery, please send your name, badge number,
DTN, E-mail address, and country to Brad Chapin at CTHQ::RUNNER or
[email protected] by Friday, Feb. 14.
DIGITAL Employee Involvement
Because running a marathon is a major accomplishment, we would
like to celebrate this accomplishment with those employees or members of
our employees' families who will be running. Additionally, we would also
like to recognize those employees who are helping as volunteers in this
year's marathon.
