| I've been reading about this pass-x of the ev4 and ev5 chip.
What exactly is this pass, is it a rev of the chip itself?
And how do i find out the pass-x on a module/chip.
Ive got a 2100 with 2 BA2040-BA rev b01
on the chip itself it's printed:
21-40658-17 rev: K Datacode: 9614 lot: b-52109-31
21-40658-17 rev: K Datacode: 9628 lot: b-52582-44
Does this tell anyone what pass numer i've got on these
chips?

| over time the chip evolves and minor features are added.
Usually these are 100% transparent to ordinary users, but are very
important to hardware groups - for example, later passes of ev56 can
support slightly faster cache bandwidth in certain circumstances than
can earlier passes.
The differences among the passes tend to be poorly documented outside
of the groups with an immediate need to know this level of detail.
