        Hi there,
    
    A colleague had the following problem:
    
    He upgraded an RM2100 to RM2100A, (running OSF) everything worked fine,
    but the problem is, the Halt Button is inefficient (machine up -->
    doesn't halt it, machine in console mode --> doesn't avoid a boot).
    
    Another strange thing with that halt button is that once pressed,
    its LED comes up green, and not orange like the customers 2nd system.
    
    I have to say that nor the colleague, neither the customer are sure
    that the halt button has ever worked correctly (meaning before the
    upgrade).
    
    Something to do with a parameter, firmware, etc ?
    
    Any clue welcome.

	Hi From support engineering, the suggestion is to replace the OCP panel: "Sounds like a bad switch. I have noticed that some of the systems have different color leds, no big deal just a different color."

	The OCP (Part n� 54-23180-03) has been changed the 1/5/97 without correcting the problem... any other idea will be welcome ! Thank's Boris [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]
