I have a cabling issue with a DNSES. I don't really know of a better place to ask this because I've never really found a good conference that discusses this sort of thing (if there is, let me know). Anyway, the DNSES ships with a Y-Cable. The end that plugs into the DNSES itself is a 100-pin 2-row male D-style connector, and the other two arms of the "Y" are 50-pin 3-row maile D-style connectors. I have a customer that wants to connect to CPE that has a female DB25; in other words, he needs a cable with a male DB25 on one end and a female 50-pin 3-row d-style connector on the other end to connect to the Y-cable that comes with the DNSES. Can someone give me a part number for such a beast? Thanks in advance, Jim

2554.1 | Try BC19D-02, BS19D-02 or BS23G-02 | TRLIAN::mkodhcp-46144186.mko.dec.com::Lail | Robert G. Lail | Fri Mar 14 1997 16:29 | 16 |
RE .0 The correct adapater cable is a BC19D-02. There are two newer cable numbers, BS19D-02 and BS23V-02. The BS19D-02 is a kit of a BC19D-02 and Female DB25 to Male DB25 adapter block (12-27591-01). The DB25 adapter block is used to remove 3 signals that are supported on the BC19D-02 but interfere with some devices. The BS23V-02 is similar to the BS19D-02 but it uses a newer base cable, BC23G-02, plus the same DB25 adapter block. \Bob Lail | |||||
