2540.0. "no mouse interrupt, no graphics console driver installed" by KOOLIT::MCDOWELL () Fri Feb 28 1997 08:24
I have looked through this notes conference and found nothing that is
close to our problem.
We just upgraded our two AS 2000 I/O backplanes (B2111-AA) from Rev. E01
to H01 so we can run Memory Channel and TruCluster Production Server.
After installing the backplanes, upgrading the firmware, etc., one
system comes up with a graphics display problem. System boots, etc, but
CDE does not display.
At the console level, after an >>> init, we get the following error:
** no mouse interrupt **
During boot to DUX 4.0B, see the following message that is also shown
with uerf -r 300:
No graphics console driver installed
generic console support installed: using VGA
Kernel has been rebuilt, and all the CDE and FONT subsets are installed.
At single-user and multi-user mode, we are able to use the monitor (like
a serial console) for a short time then it will not accept any keyboard
input.
I have swapped the monitor, keyboard, and mouse between systems. I
suspect a DOA B2111 I/O backplane ROM.
Before I start swapping modules and the I/O backplane has anyone got any
ideas to help isolate the problem?
Thanks,
bob
