2518.0. "Can't see external disks after changing OS." by DEKVC::DEUGKWANGLEE () Thu Feb 13 1997 08:16
Hi, all
I'm a mcs engineer in korea and have a problem about Sable.
One of my customers desided to use the WindowsNT on there
AS2100 4/275 insteed of the Dunix.
Configuration is simple, 2 cpus, 2 internal rz28-vws and 4
external rz29-vws in the ba356 via kzpsa.
It worked well under Dunix and I did something to change OS.
At >>>, set os_type nt, clear_arc_nvram, and power reset.
But I couldn't see any external disks at the ARC 'display hardware'.
I changed os_type and could see the external disks like
'dkb100, dkb200...'.
I upgraded and downgraded the firmware V 3.2, 3.6 and 3.8, but failed
to see that disks.
I installed WinNT 3.51 and 4.0, but I couldn't see these disks after
system up.
What's wrong or missing? Help me...
The kzpsa's h/w version is k01 and f/w is a10.
Many thanks in advance.

| The ARC firmware for Sable does not have boot support for the KZPSA. As a
result, in the firmware, you will not be able to see any devices connected
to the adapter.
You should be able to see the devices in NT as long as you install the KZPSA
driver. Did you install the KZPSA driver in your NT installations?
