A customer has a AS2100 with a Master Console Switch. The monitor and keyboard works fine off the Master Console Switch, but the mouse doesn't. They would like to know if they can use a SERIAL MOUSE off the COM1 port and still use the Monitor and Keyboard off the Master Console Switch. Ed Burkhalter CSC Atlanta

Ed, We have used the master console with a mouse. It works fine. Have him double check his cabling. Dave

From Mel Thebault - product manager for Master Console It appears they may have the mouse cables from MasterConsole to the servers crossed to the wrong server. This would make it appear that there is no mouse. You may be on server 1 with the switch, but your mouse could be crossed with server 2. You could use the mouse off the server directly if that's what they want to do. Mel

Hello MasterConsole users, can you tell me more about this thing, because I have a customer with some A2100, A1000 and PC's who has a console switch, but it does not handle the keyboards. Mouse and monitor switchover works ok. So he sits within 8 keyboards at his console monitor. Any pointers/suggestions welcome. Thank you, Martin |
