1217.0. "DECnet OSI and Proxy problem" by CSC32::WATERS (The Agony of Delete) Thu Feb 13 1997 15:38

I'm looking into a problem with scheduler V2.1B-7 and DECNET osi
I thought I'd post it here until I can find a cofiguration to test
    it on.

Customer has two scheduler server node running V2.1B-7.

If he issues the command SCHED RUN NODEB::job#, from NODEA,
there is a netserver.log file created in the SCHED_DECNET
account directory. Not sure of the exact error in the log file
but it's bascily that the sched_decnet doesn't have access
to the job. His proxy doesn't seem to be working or not being
    used.

He can do directory and copy commands using the proxy and that
works fine. The proxy points to a different username, than
what is being used on the local node, that shouldn't matter.

He is on V2.1B-7 and doesn't want to upgrade to V2.1B-9nn
unless this issue is addressed or other problems he is having
    is addressed. (Tyson foods).

     Thanks,
     Mark Waters

Still woring on this one. During my testing here everything worked
fine. I tested this on V2.1B-9 though, customer has V2.1B-7.

Looking at the output logfiles, the connect is made using the correct
    username.

Node TYSOND: username SALBATCH tries to run a job on node EDILPA
username EDIMAINT. Proxy is setup correctly and works for directory
    command and copy.

We found that the customer did not have an alias proxy defined
on the phase V system. Tyson0 (zero) was the proxy they were
looking for.
