I have a customer who is running Scheduler version 2.1-209 on OpenVMS 5.5-2h4 on a VAX. I recently upgraded to this version and the upgrade seemed to work fine. However, when two jobs that had a schedule interval of F Q 04:00 and F Q 01:00 respectively, the jobs would resubmit themselves repeatily. The next run time would be set to 17-nov-1858 which is equal to a null on a date in OpenVMS. I had to modify the jobs to change the next run times so the jobs would not keep resubmitting. All other jobs seem to be working fine. Any idea what happened? Will it happen again with these two jobs? What should I do about it?

>I have a customer who is running Scheduler version 2.1-209 on OpenVMS 5.5-2h4 >on a VAX. NEver heard about this version. Scheduler follows the schema: V2.1 and a letter - and a sequence no. like V2.1B-7 or V2.1A-9 The letter can be upcase for external usage and lowercase for internal usage. What kind of version are you talking about? All kind of version have some problems with the Fiscal Cal. Take a look in the release notes of V2.1B-9 which is the latest for Vax and Alpha. It could have to do with the base date or the current year. anyway, there is no most prob. no way to get it solved it other than contacting CA. Eric who-is-still-waiting-for-V2.2-to-hit-the-road |
