We have two clusters, with major manufacturing importance,
which run fairly extensive scheduler processing every evening.
In order to monitor (and troubleshoot) this processing, our
operations staff have an scheduler x-windows display running
which showws them the nightly flow and any potential problems.
This window is displayed on a DECstation 3100.
We have run this configuration for years with no problems until
now.
One of our clusters has been upgraded to OpenVMS 6.1 and since then,
the SCHEDULER$XUI process hangs in LEF state, stuck in the
SYS$SCHED service routine. This is the same problem described
in an earlier reply to this note.
The last statement (feb/94) stated that there was no fix until
version 3.0 of Scheduler.
That was two years ago and we need a solution now. Can anyone
shed any light on this?
