Anybody ever here of an RW531 coming up with this front panel message?: " IMPDATNIN " According to Field Service, they attached an NEC SCSI CD-ROM drive to the same bus, and all of a sudden their previously quiet RW531 has this message. Although apparently not our problem here, I'm wondering where these multitudes of firmware messages are coming from, and are they documented somewhere? Steve, I suggest this customer IPMT this so that we can get an official answer. Do they have DEC 0.37 Firmware? Lisa | |||||

I don't know about the firmware level. The field service engineer just had them remove the NEC device, and since the problem went away, field service left the site. It was just an "oh by the way, what does this mean?" call to us at the support center. With DBD well under way, its highly unlikely we can dispatch anybody out to that site unless theres a real problem. Thanks anyways, Steve |
