| It is very unlikely that any PC optical software packages will be
able to read files created by OSMS. I think a possible alternative
you could use is Pathworks (or whatever product it has become). Since
OSMS optical disks look like magnetic disks to the VAX you should be
able to use whatever products that exist to export this data to the
PC.

| In the DECUS library are routines put there by Perceptics to allow
reading WORMS-11 disks on generic OSs, and also is source code in C
to read VMS disks on generic OSs. (The ODS2 reader in fact will list
directories or copy files; I suspect the Perceptics code does something
similar). I don't know any particular reason why a PC compiler
couldn't digest these...
